My typeface 'Habitat' created for the Brisbane City Laneways project with JOLT Studio has been nominated as a finalist in Typography category for the 2011 Create Design Awards. The negative space within the typeface represents the laneways throughout the city. Congratulations team JOLT!

Bach Hair's 2011 advertising campaign was launched today in Brisbane News.

The new campaign features some of the talented team and long standing clients at Bach Hair. The personality of the salon has undoubtedly been captured in this shot thanks to Brisbane photographer Damien Bredburg.

Guideline for directors booklet

A 96 page legal document for law firm McMahon Clarke Legal.

This was a great opportunity to implement and explore some new typographic skills.

The booklet was printed two colours and the cover was blind embossed with the title upside down so it could be read from either side. The typeface used was National Light and National Semi Bold from Klim Type Foundry

Retail Signage - Sydney

It was a pleasure working with the team at FKP to develop signage for their new development 'A2' in Sydney. The signage advertises the new retail spaces available for sale on street level. Large images were used on the windows to suggest possible retail opportunities.

Brisbane City Laneways

The new Brisbane Laneways history signage designed by JOLT Studio is now appearing throughout Brisbane. The signage features my new font 'Habitat' which was specifically designed for the word 'Laneways'. The negative space within each character depicts an aerial view of the laneways network in Brisbane.

My latest font was designed as a body copy typeface for use in magazines and brochures.
Being the third and final project while studying the font design unit VCO3305 at Monash University in Melbourne, Svelte completes a set of experimental typefaces to serve as a preface to my further studies in typeface design.

Artspoken designs MAP Funds Website

Usability and legibility was the focus of the MAP Funds website design.

Exstensive planning and prototyping was undertaken to develop the structure and content of this site.

We setup online card sorting exercises for customers of MAP Funds to work through to ensure we understood how the user was going to navigate this site and where they expected different access points to be located.

Bach Hair 2009 ad campaign ‘HAIR CUT’

I wanted to play with a mix of style and grunge with this campaign to loosen things up a bit and show the creative side of the Bach Hair team.

Shooting 11 different headshots in black & white using a grainy filter assisted in replicating the look and feel of those vintage shots.

We have taken an integrated approach to cutting through with this years campaign by not only advertising in local magazines but using a street art technique of paste-up to get the campaign on the walls in and around the salons in Paddington and Chelmer.

The impact is created by the detail and laborious hand-cutting of each new hair cut by the stylists when they had a spare moment in their day.

Put simply... a brand is the image and personality of a business or product.

Why do you need a brand?
We identify the people we like to associate with by their personality and how they present themselves. Choosing a business or a product generally works the same way.
